About Us
We love what we do….
Bonnybrook Farms was started over 39 years ago in Dayton, Ohio by Joe and Bonnie Mercuri and came to be known as one of the finest equestrian centers in the Midwest. Over the years Bonnybrook Farms grew in its scope and outreach from a Saddlebred horse farm to a funfilled destination for families, companies and school children. Riding lessons, educational field trips, corporate picnics and fall festivals brought people back year after year. Hundreds of friendships were formed and memories made.
But as the south Dayton suburbs grew, Bonnybrook Farms became surrounded by residential developments. Bonnie, always a country girl at heart, wanted a farm in the country, not a “citified” version. So the Mercuris searched for a beautiful location away from the hubbub of city life.
We love our new location!
Situated on 350 acres of diverse land in southeastern Warren County, the new Bonnybrook Farms boasts a large creek known as Todd Fork and land rich with history evidenced in the ruins of pioneer homes along a deserted stone wagon road and an abandoned leg of the Cincinnati, Wilmington & Zanesville Railroad (or, as the locals called it, the “Sheepskin Line”) that traverses the property. An established tree farm is central to the acreage and Bonnie and Joe have added hay fields and prepared areas for planting crops such as sunflowers, gourds, and pumpkins.
The new location is within 30 minutes from Mason, Maineville, Lebanon, Waynesville, Wilmington, New Vienna, Blanchester and Kings Mills. West Chester, Centerville, Springboro and Blue Ash are within 45 minutes.
